Info about event

Time

The workshop is aimed to provide a comprehensive exploration of journalism grant applications. Designed for individuals interested in media-related fundraising, the session covers essential aspects, from effective grant-hunting strategies to project management fundamentals and impact measurement.

Drawing inspiration from successful projects funded by prominent organizations such as EJC, ICFJ, Pulitzer Center, and JournalismFund.eu, participants will gain practical insights on how to apply for a journalism grant and measure the success and impact of their projects. The workshop, requiring no prerequisites, also addresses problem mitigation with real-world examples. The workshop will also include a simulation activity and will allow attendees to apply their newfound knowledge collaboratively.

The workshop is supported by the AUFF Research Project Infrapublics: Journalism for Civic Communication in Urban Space (Christoph Raetzsch; https://digtcom.au.dk/projects/infrapublics), the Centre for University Studies in Journalism (CJU) and the Department of Media and Journalism Studies at Aarhus University.

Participation is limited to 40 people, and will be only possible on site.
